MeMe is a writer who believes in the power of written words to help us love more, understand ourselves better, improve our relationships, and create healthier communities. Writing is calling to touch the hearts of others. She has written essays for LA Times, Huff Post, Thrive Global, Christian Science Monitor. She's written, directed and produced several plays offered in packed theaters. She has an MFA in Creative Writing for Performing Arts and a B.A., (UCLA) and was a Distinguished Dean's Fellow while earning her MFA at the University of California.
She recently wrote, directed, and produce her first indie movie One Night in LA, which has been in notable film festivals, has a sales agent, and received several offers of distribution.
Her TV Pilot script Every Night in LA, formerly named Out of Bounds, inspired several projects, was selected as a top 10 script out of 175 scripts in UCLA Film School's prestigious Samuel Goldwyn's Contest . "Every Night in LA" hits an entertaining balance between family drama, sports drama, and psychological sci-fi genres. This pilot showcases a diverse cast of characters, and explores relatable issues from feminism and race relations to income inequality and domestic violence. The script introduces multiple conflicts throughout the episode that will drive future plot lines, which also creates ample forward momentum for the series.
Every Night in LA contains emotionally-charged storytelling, well-developed characters, and an interesting setting that all appeal to a wide audience. This series could be shopped to broadcast networks as well as basic/premium cable, and streaming platforms."
